The Pahrump Valley High School (PVHS) tennis teams continued their impressive season at the Class 3A Southern Regionals, with both boys and girls striving for individual single and doubles placements at state. The boys’ team has already qualified for state as a team, but this unique tournament offers players the chance to earn individual or doubles qualifications, a rare feature in high school sports. The Pahrump Valley High School Cross Country team traveled to Gilbert, Arizona, on October 11 to compete in the prestigious Epic Tourneys XC Invite. Competing against small schools from across the region, PVHS athletes delivered standout performances across both the Varsity and Open divisions, earning medals and posting impressive times. In the girls’ Small Schools Varsity race, senior Aurora Whitney secured 18th place with a time of 23:04.8, earning a medal for her top-20 finish. Aliana Zuniga represented Pahrump Valley High School with skill and determination at the State Girls’ Golf Tournament, held October 15-16 in Dayton, Nevada. Zuniga finished the tournament with scores of 87 and 86, placing 7th overall, just two strokes shy of earning a medal.
