The Pahrump Valley High School Trojans boys’ wrestling team competed at the 3A Southern Regional Tournament in Boulder City on Saturday, February 1. PVHS finished second in the team standings behind Moapa Valley and qualified 10 wrestlers for the State Championship, which will take place on February 7-8 in Fallon, NV. The Nye County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) has officially launched a new online system to streamline the application process for Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) permits. In partnership with Permitium, LLC, a software company specializing in web-based law enforcement services, the Sheriff’s Office now offers a modernized system that allows applicants to submit and manage their CCW applications online. Through this new system, applicants can complete their application, schedule an appointment, upload required documents, submit photo identification, and make payments—all from the convenience of their home. The Pahrump Valley High School Girls Wrestling team put up a strong fight at Regionals on January 24-25, with several wrestlers coming heartbreakingly close to securing a spot at the state tournament.
